Terms of Service
Last updated 28 October 2026. Draft for legal review before public launch.
- What Skillora is. Skillora is a platform that helps customers find and contact independent service providers. Skillora does not employ providers, does not perform services and is not a party to the agreement between a customer and a provider.
- Eligibility. You must be 18 or older and give true information. One person, one account. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Providers. You must describe your skills, experience and prices honestly, hold any licence the law requires for your work, upload only genuine documents and photos of your own work, and keep your availability up to date. Fake documents lead to permanent removal and may be reported to the authorities.
- Customers. Describe jobs honestly, treat providers with respect, and pay what you agreed. Do not use Skillora to recruit people into unlawful or exploitative work.
- Verification and reviews. Badges show what Skillora staff checked at a point in time; they are not a guarantee of quality or safety. Reviews are customers' opinions. Do not post fake reviews or pay for reviews.
- Payments. Skillora is free at launch and does not process payments. Customers and providers agree prices and payment methods directly. Skillora is not responsible for payments between users.
- Conduct. No harassment, discrimination, fraud, spam, impersonation, or sharing other people's personal details without consent. We may remove content, suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.
- Disputes. Try to resolve problems together first. You can raise a dispute on a job; Skillora staff may help, but decisions about refunds or compensation are between the parties unless the law says otherwise.
- Liability. To the extent the law allows, Skillora is not liable for the acts or omissions of users, for work performed, or for losses arising from agreements between users.
- Future paid features. Optional paid plans may be offered later with clear prices and terms. Paying will never buy a verification badge or bypass safety rules. Promoted listings, if introduced, will be labelled.
- Changes. We may update these terms and will tell you of important changes. Uganda's laws apply.
