Privacy Policy

Last updated 28 October 2026. Draft prepared with Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 and its 2021 Regulations in mind; to be reviewed by a lawyer and the operator's registration with the Personal Data Protection Office confirmed before public launch.

Who we are

Skillora is operated by Studio 13 Developers, Uganda. Contact: skillora@studio13developers.com.

What we collect and why

Skillora is not a medical-record system: please do not upload medical records or detailed health information.

Who can see what

Public provider profiles (unless the provider makes them link-only or hidden) are visible to everyone. Phone numbers and emails are never public; you choose when to share your phone number in a conversation. Staff access is limited by role (for example, only verification officers open documents) and every privileged action is logged.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We use service providers for hosting, email and (when switched on) SMS delivery, only to run Skillora. We may disclose information when the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.

How long we keep data

While your account is open. When you delete your account, we remove your personal details, photos, documents, saved places and sign-in tokens; job and chat records remain for the other party, attributed to "Deleted user". Database backups are kept for 14 days.

Your rights

You can see and correct your details in Settings, download your data (Settings → Download my data), withdraw documents, object to processing, and delete your account. Contact us for anything else. You may also complain to the Personal Data Protection Office.

Security

HTTPS, hashed passwords, encrypted documents and messages, rate limits, role-based staff access and audit logs. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at once if you suspect a problem.

Children

Accounts are for people aged 18 and over. Parents or guardians arrange services for children.
