How CampusCrush works
1. Join (18+ only)
Register with your email, your institution and campus. We check your date of birth on our servers: CampusCrush is only for adults. Confirm your email with a 6-digit code.
2. Build your profile
Add a photo, a short bio, your interests and what you are looking for: a long-term relationship, dating, friendship or study partners. You decide who can see your photos, your campus and your course.
3. Discover
Swipe right to like, left to pass. Suggestions follow both people's preferences (age, who you want to meet, intentions) and a compatibility score based on:
- shared interests (30%),
- relationship intentions (25%),
- lifestyle (20%),
- region (15%: same city, same country, further away; never your exact location),
- campus and institution preferences (10%).
These weights are starting values our team can adjust; they are not a scientific measure of compatibility. If something about you is unknown, it is left out rather than counted against you.
4. Match and chat
When you both like each other, it is a match and a private chat opens. Only matched people can message each other. You can unmatch or block at any time.
5. Get verified (optional)
Apply for student verification with your student ID or proof of registration. A verification officer reviews it (or your institution's representative confirms your enrolment, where available). If approved, you get the Verified student badge and a digital certificate with a QR code.
Blind dates
Turn on blind dates and choose a pseudo-name. We pair you with a compatible member who is also looking. You chat for up to 72 hours without names, photos or institutions. If you both press Reveal, you become a match.
Search
Search by name, institution, course, year of birth, intention or country. You can also search by tribe, but only among members who chose to share their tribe and be found by it.
