Terms of use
Mobi Save is record-keeping software. It does not hold, lend or invest your money. Each group keeps its own money in its own cash box, bank or mobile money account and is responsible for its decisions.
Licences. Using Mobi Save does not license a group to take deposits, lend to the public or provide payment services. Groups should confirm what registration they need (for example with the Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority or the Registrar of Cooperatives).
Group rules. Your group's constitution, as recorded in Mobi Save and approved by its committee, decides loans, interest, fines, welfare and the share-out. Members and officers must record transactions truthfully.
Referrals. Referral commissions are paid only from real revenue (for example a subscription payment Mobi Save received, or an admission fee your group received) under the approved programme rules. Nobody earns anything for recruiting people or for deposits they make. Self-referrals, fake accounts and payments made to create a commission earn nothing and may be reversed after review.
Payments. Mobile money is used only through providers connected to Mobi Save; test (sandbox) transactions are always labelled and never move real money.
Accounts. Keep your password private. Tell your group and Mobi Save at once if you think someone else used your account.
