Delete your Mobi Save account

Mobi Save (the website and the "Mobi Save - App" Android app) is run by Studio 13 Developers, Kampala, Uganda. You can ask for your account and personal details to be deleted at any time.

How to ask

Send an email to mobisave@studio13developers.com with the subject "Delete my Mobi Save account", from the email address on your account, or tell us the phone number you sign in with.
We reply within 7 days to confirm it is you (we may send a code to your phone or email).
If you still owe a loan or hold a card balance or savings in a group, settle or withdraw them with your group first: we tell you what is open.
We delete the account within 30 days of confirming, and tell you when it is done.

What is deleted

Your sign-in (phone, email, password, app sessions) and your profile.
Personal details your groups kept about you: next of kin, relatives, identity number, photo and notes.
Notifications, referral codes and settings.

What is kept, and for how long

Money records cannot simply disappear from a group's books: other members' balances depend on them. Your groups' transactions with you (savings, shares, welfare, loans, repayments, card transfers and receipts) are kept for as long as the group's accounts and Ugandan law require — at least seven years — with your name replaced by a member number where the law allows. The security audit log is kept for the same period. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
